There are many factors that contribute to the achievement of a desired result or outcome. Often, treatment plans and approaches need to be altered based on the response of the patient. Your physical therapist will use their skill and expertise to continually re-evaluate your subjective and objective responses. Many are helped and some will need further diagnostic work by their referring physician or a specialist in the community. Our PTs will help you through this process.

In most cases, there is little upside or benefit when there is a consistent painful response to your treatment in physical therapy. We make every effort to work within pain-free ranges. However, all patients are treated with using manual techniques and are given exercises to address problems associated with the injury. For evaluations, loose fitting clothes are preferred that allow the physical therapist to examine your problem areas. Jeans, pants, bulky articles of clothing make it difficult for your therapist to conduct a thorough examination.
